Shipping Policy
Real stamps, real post, real waiting, the good kind. Here is exactly when letters leave and how long they take.
Last updated: September 12, 2026
1. What ships and when
Your child's monthly letter from Amaya is mailed on the 15th of each month. Subscriptions, one-time letters, and Gift Letter plans started or renewed after the 25th of the prior month begin with the following month's mailing. The Keepsake Year book ships once per year on its own production timeline, which we confirm with you when you place that order.
2. Domestic shipping (United States)
US letters are sent via USPS. Typical delivery is 3 to 10 business days from the mail date, depending on your location and USPS processing times. This is an estimate, not a guarantee, since we do not control the postal system.
3. International shipping
We are glad to mail Amaya's letters outside the US. International letters are sent via USPS International Mail or a comparable postal service and typically take 2 to 6 weeks to arrive, depending on destination, local customs processing, and that country's postal service. We cannot guarantee delivery to every country; if your country is not listed at checkout, it is not yet available.
Customs, duties, and taxes. International orders may be subject to customs fees, import duties, VAT, or other charges imposed by the destination country. These are the responsibility of the recipient or customer and are not included in your subscription price or collected by Daakiya. We are not able to predict or reimburse these charges, and we cannot mark international shipments as gifts to avoid them.
4. Address accuracy
You are responsible for providing a complete and correct mailing address for your child at sign-up and for keeping it current. If a letter is returned as undeliverable or never arrives because of an incomplete or incorrect address on file, we will work with you to correct it and reship, but we may not be able to refund that shipment, and a reshipment may incur an additional shipping charge if the error was on the customer's side.
To make sure an address update applies to your next letter, please update it before the 25th of the month. Changes made after that cycle enters production cannot be applied to that month's letter.
5. Lost, delayed, or damaged mail
Standard mail through USPS and international postal carriers does not always include tracking, so we cannot always confirm delivery directly. If your child has not received a letter within 3 weeks (domestic) or 8 weeks(international) of the mail date, contact us at support@daakiya.ink with your order details. We will investigate and, where appropriate, reship the letter or issue a refund per our Refund Policy. We are not liable for delays or loss caused by the postal service, customs holds, incorrect addresses, natural disasters, strikes, or other events outside our reasonable control, but we will still try to help make it right.
6. Pausing, skipping, or gifting
If your subscription plan allows pausing or skipping a month, you can do so from your account before the 25th cutoff above. Gift Letter plans and one-time letters simply end after their term or single mailing and will not auto-renew unless you separately subscribe to the monthly plan.
